We invite you to a seminar on publishing support.
Consultations
Within the framework of information education, we offer individual consultations or group seminars. We also provide research data and publishing support.
Consultations on citing and working with sources
In the library, we offer individual consultations for students on their written school work in the context of the technical requirements of academic writing.
Specifically, we can help you with:
- bibliographic citations;
- work in the citation manager Citace PRO;
- an assessment of the quality of cited sources;
- advice on where to look for data and full texts for your work;
- tips for improving the visual appearance of written work.
To avoid misunderstandings, we will now list the topics with which we (unfortunately) cannot help:
- a review of the entire thesis without specifying any particular issues;
- determination of the topic, formulation of the research question, and hypotheses to be tested/verified;
- problem solving methodology;
- processing of research data;
- checking spelling or stylistics;
- interpretation of results.
The consultation is provided exclusively on the basis of a personal meeting with an expected active approach. We do not offer any online services.

Individual and group training sessions can be arranged on a variety of topics, especially:
- working with sources
- searching databases
- citation according to ISO 690
Research Data and Publishing Support
We offer individual consultations on topics related to scholarly publishing, including Open Access, and research data management.
Specifically, we can help you with:
- understanding Open Access publishing options, including funding for publication fees;
- selecting a suitable journal for publication;
- publishing a preprint in the MUNI ECON Working Papers;
- managing publication records at ECON MUNI;
- depositing publications to the MU Repository;
- registering and integrating an ORCID iD;
- research data management;
- publishing research data (e.g. selecting a repository and preparing metadata).
